gosh! if only those 20,000 people had some recourse... some warning... instead of being left to stand around and not get on buses
You could repeat the same episode today and I think at least ten thousand residents would just plain stay. I can’t explain it...folks in Mobile or Miami...would all pack up and at least head ten miles inland.
