My favorite Gilligan's Island line: Thurston Howell and Gilligan are roaming through the jungle at night, and come across a group of grass-skirted natives dancing around a bonfire. Gilligan and Howell are hiding behind the trees:

Gilligan: "Mr. Howell, do you think they're dangerous?"

Howell: "I don't know, Gilligan, but I'm sure they're not Republicans."

I was watching some clips of American Bandstand on YouTube here recently. One was from the 80s, and Dick Clark introduced a song by Wang Chung. And he said “Wang Chung” in a fake/quasi Chinese accent. They’d have his head on a stick if he did that these days.
