You're saying that the Shiites, who are supported by Iran and therefore have no love for the Saudis, are the bulwark between them and the more radical Al Qaeda Sunnis, who although co-religionists to the Saudis, want to get at them? The AQ Sunnis are much more dangerous to the Saudis as they have an appeal to the majority of the Saudi population, which lives fairly nearby near the Red Sea Coast - Jiddah, Mecca, Medina, etc., and lots of friends in high places, as we know.
The Shiites/Houthis in this case have friends only of rather different brands of Shiites (the differences between Shiites are good for several headaches) who are a monster desert away along the Persian Gulf (or the Arabian Gulf for Arabs).
So The Houthis are unlikely to serve as a sanctuary for AQ terrorists and guerrillas.
