Dear FRiends,
We need your continuing support to keep FR on the air.
FR is funded solely by contributions made by the liberty loving patriots who enjoy and use it.
We are beholden to no political party.
No advertisers, no outsiders, no sugar daddies, no corporate string pullers.
This means no commercial ads. No annoying pop-ups. No ad tracking. No mail campaigns. No spam. No one trying to control us.
Definitely no government subsidies or tax breaks.
We are self-funded, fiercely independent and enjoy our freedom to speak plainly in the support of God, family, country, liberty!!
But we cannot exist without you.
Every donation counts no matter how big or small. If you can donate $5, $10, $20, $100 or more, it would be greatly appreciated.
Your loyal support makes Free Republic possible and your continuing participation makes FR the number one pro-life, pro-family, pro-small government, pro-defense conservative forum on the Net!!
And we're going to need FR now more than ever to combat the current crop of Marxists and progressives who have infested our government and public institutions and who are dead set on destroying the final remnants of our cherished constitution and our precious God-given liberty!!

Make it a monthly if you can. We have some very generous FReeper sponsors kicking in an extra ten bucks for every new monthly signed up and we now have 18 new monthlies so far this quarter
Or send in a hundred dollars or more per quarter and join I_be_tc's growing list of 300 Club patriots. I_be_tc sends in $100 per quarter and challenges 300 others to do the same. And we have received 93 donations of $100 or more so far this quarter. If we could get 300 FReepers to send in $100 per quarter, these FReepathons would complete much faster.
Thank you all very much!!
God bless.
Thank you very much, GOPJ!!
Woo hoo!!

It’s been snowing for about 2.5 hours. We already have four or five inches on the ground from yesterday. Mr. T just arrived home and is out getting wood.
We’re in the orange/red area of the map.
I just hope that we don’t lose power.
Make sure you have an old fashion can opener available. I keep Amish wool blankets on hand for just those times
Thank you very much, GOPJ!!

We have two old can openers, hoosiermama. :) We have some Polartec blankets, a goose down comforter and one icelandic wool blanket. Mr. T also went to the market today and got a bunch of canned goods, bread, pasta, cream and butter, among other items. He can cook on our old Coleman stove, and we have lots of batteries for our flashlights and “candles” that run on batteries. We were tent campers back in the day.
I’ve never cottoned to those new-fangled electric can openers. :)
Free Republic operates on an approximate $360,000 annual budget which includes all equipment costs, bandwidth fees, consulting and labor costs, administrative costs, license fees, insurance, rents, communications costs, office expenses, advertising, travel, professional fees, banking and credit card fees, taxes, etc. Like most labor intensive organizations, the bulk of our costs are personnel related. We have one general manager and webmaster, one systems, programming and computer guru, one programming and management assistant and one bookkeeper/business administrator. The four of us are all members (partners) of the LLC. We own and operate our own servers and our proprietary software was developed and is maintained inhouse.
Free Republic is not a charity or IRS non-profit organization. We do not raise funds for charitable purposes or causes. We raise funds solely to cover our operating costs, labor, and all applicable state and federal income and payroll taxes.

Some duct work for the furnace fell apart in the cellar. Son & Hubby are trying to put it back together.
Yikes. Thank goodness they’re there.
Mr. T is filling the main bath tub with water. From what I’ve seen on the weather forecasts, you’re going to get some heavy snow, as are we.
They called our mail carriers back and closed the post office by 3pm.
That’s the worst part: no running water. :(
In the winter the worst is no heat.
one of these. :)
