Gatestone Institute reported, via Religion of Peace:
On January 6, Abdel Fatah al-Sisi became the first Egyptian president ever to visit the St. Mark Cathedral during Coptic Christmas Eve Mass and offer his good wishes to the nations Christian minority.
Because Islamic law bans wishing non-Muslims well on their religious celebrations, all previous presidents Nasser, Sadat, Mubarak, and of course Morsi had never attended Coptic Christmas mass.
As expected, the greetings el-Sisi received from the hundreds of Christians present were jubilant. His address was often interrupted by applause, clapping, and cheers of We love you! and Hand in hand phrases he reciprocated. He said, among other things:
Egypt has brought a humanistic and civilizing message to the world for millennia and we are here today to confirm that we are capable of doing so again. Yes, a humanistic and civilizing message should once more emanate from Egypt. This is why we must not call ourselves anything other than Egyptians.
This is what we must be Egyptians, just Egyptians, Egyptians indeed! I just want to tell you that Allah willing, Allah willing we shall build our nation together, accommodate each other, make room for each other, and we shall like each otherlove each other, love each other in earnest, so that people may see So let me tell you once again, Happy New Year, Happy New Year to you all, Happy New Year to all Egyptians!
Now remember, the Obama Administration wanted the Muslim Brotherhood politician Morsi to remain president in Egypt.

One brave man.... Not like Obama
Evidently El-SISI is the opposite of ISIS.
This is the guy obastard tried to get deposed. I’m shocked. NOT!
Good for him. It that country, you risk your life openly supporting Christians. What does he look like, is he likely to be around for a while, assuming he hires the finest of bodyguards? I ask because we just lost presumed ally in an Arab Sheik who was about 90 years old.
Egypt is the place for reformation. They always see Islam in a different light—Moslem Brotherhood’s religious line never was that popular (political message of Anti-Imperialism was more popular) I see a new day for Egypt coming. maybe a new Imperialism—Egyptian. Roll into Lybia, Sudan. Islamic telivanglests are popular there—a more open view of Religion in the 21st Century among many. The wind of change will come here—not is Arabia.
One both scores (brave and a man).
Sssshhhhhh, don’t tell Hillary. She bedded the opposition in Egypt. You know, the terrorist group ‘Muslim Brotherhood’. Has she been questioned about that yet, leading up to her 2016 run?
Isn’t it ironic that Al Sisi is opposed to Obama and Clinton’s attempts to install the Muslim Brotherhood throughout the Arab world?
Isn’t it ironic that Al Sisi was condemned by Obama for re-taking charge in Egypt?
What does it tell us about Obama?
Egypt could once again be a cradle of civilization. El-Sisi is a true leader.
President El-Sisi is a good man.
He must be agonizing about that instruction in the Koran that states that unbelievers must be killed.
How else could he have visited a Christian church? Too bad there are only a few El-Sisi types.
What does it tell us about our Congress that allows Obama to occupy the WH?
The crew in Washington isn’t going to be happy about that.
I’m really growing to like this guy.
He may be a Sisi, but he has gonads made of STEEL.
