Yes...I’ve heard he was the debating champion in college. And his former professor, Alan Dershowitz, (of all people) has said of Cruz, that he he was possibly the brightest student he had ever taught, and that he, Cruz, should not be under-estimated ;)) (paraphrasing, of course)
