I don’t have a problem with him not going. There have been many events commorating the ending of World War II and the president cannot go to all of them. The only event he should be at is Hiroshima celebrating the power of the atom bomb.

The ceremony at Auschwitz is to be on the 27th, that just happens to be the same day King Obama was originally scheduled to visit the Taj Mahal. He punted on that visit so he could pay fealty to the new king of Saudi Arabia.
It's pretty darn clear where Obama's priorities are, and they sure don't include attendance at any memorial to the one million Jews who were slaughtered at Auschwitz.
