Innocent children certainly do not “deserve what they get.”
In the context of my comment, your comment doesn’t apply...I specifically applied qualifiers.
And I will concede your point that innocent children absolutely do not deserve what they get as a result of adult neglect (”wouldn’t/didn’t”)...the child has no say in the matter.
