“People Brick it at the sight of a AirGun.
They act as if you are carrying a severed head.”
Are there restrictions on air guns? Creative individuals could come up with all kinds of effective air guns, making ones with high rates of fire or increasing the caliber of the round.
A few years ago a Brit and his wife came and stayed in one of our guest cabins. I asked him if he’d like to do some target practice. His eyes lit up and by the end of the day he was grinning ear to ear...
Rifle 12flb, Pistol 6fbl.

As long as it doesn't exceed the poundages given above, you can make what you like. :)
Exceed these and, OMG! AN ANTI TANK GUN!!!
You can fire one under 16 with adult supervision, 16 and over you can buy as many as you want (pistol or rifle). Up to (I think) .25. Need to check that one, lol.
I know that for example air weapons come under the same laws as regular guns and you need a firearms licence. The vast majority of UK air weapons are .177/.22/.25.
The UK has no licensing for air weapons (except the heavy calibres mentioned), there are 500000 in Scotland alone. The BASC says the UK has 4m air rifles, not sure how many air pistols, they are very popular, so we could be talking 6-10m air weapons.
‘I know that for example air weapons come under the same laws as regular guns and you need a firearms licence. The vast majority of UK air weapons are .177/.22/.25.’
That should have read ‘I know for example the heavier calibre air weapons...’.
Correction:
You must be at least 18 years of age before you may purchase an airgun or airgun ammunition in the UK, NOT 16 as I stated. My error.
Between the ages of 14 and 18 you may be given an airgun as a gift. Under the age of 14 you may not own an airgun.
