A word of cauttion, though. The gop wing of the uniparty is obviously trying to leave Ellmers holding the bag. And she of course is deserving of a primary challenge. After all, her sole qualification is that she was breathing when her predecessor got caught on camera assaulting someone who asked him a question. That said, she is one rep and not particularly high on the pecking order. The reason this bill never saw a vote is because the leadership and the caucus didn’t want it to. Not because Renee Ellmers has some particular voodoo that prevented it from being voted on.
