I think we all pretty much agree that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a backward, stifling, and restrictive nation with a strange bedouin culture that is highly at odds with its contemporary western counterpart. If it weren't for the oil money, they'd still live like clan-centric nomads in a detestable sea of sand, clitorectomies, and arranged marriages to children. Everything they enjoy, including indoor pools with parking garages for their fleets of Rolls-Royces came from the ingenuity of western european culture.
