Regarding the “Biblical” or prophetic conditions playing out in Saudi Arabia.
A few years back the then Iranian leader, Imadinnerjacket (or whatever)commissioned the release of a film about the 12th Imam for his Iranian audience.
It is important to note that the accuracy of the content of the film is not important. What is important is that there are people in the ME that believe it is true.
A few of the conditions necessary for the 12th Imam to arrive are the death of the Saudi King, the revolution in Yemen to name just two.

Yes, basically, those conditions are ones that the Iranian leadership knew was probably going to happen sooner or later. So, it could be that they “interpreted” the prophecies in a certain way, to manipulate religious fervor, but the end result is the same.
Not to put too much into that, though some in the ME do...Ibendidshal ding dong..actually built a highway for the Maudi’s arrival. He was a fruit lop all around...and dangerous. Good he’s gone.
Basically they think there will be an arrival of “their King” to set the world straight and uder the rule of Islam etc.
