Im a bit surprised by how the graph of post 1 is being interpreted. With respect to the -3 minimum shown on the graph between 2012 and 2013, wouldnt there have to be at least a +3 or more recorded maximum before 2009 to justify the long term average?
What am I overlooking?
I agree, show me 50 or 100 years and even that would be a tiny sample.
Just a guess on my part, but the average level may include all the data available since records were first kept.
At least that’s how I would display it if I wanted to look at the last few years relative to the long term.
