Also when the principal defense of the movement seems to be “Don’t worry. It will never pass.”
The Equal Rights Amendment had massive support AND was extended and STILL didn’t pass.
Getting amendments through a convention then through the state legislatures is a massive undertaking to be sure, but their really is no other option if we want to preserve the republic.
