It dawned on me a few years ago, after getting a decent foundation in basic geology and paleontology: EVERYTHING that happens on earth is temporary and we have been here for less than a nanosecond, in material context.
Materially, by God's design, we are like a flea on an elephant's tail thinking we're powerful enough to predict what it's all about and where it's going, by a reading from one hair and the proper "tackling" of the elephant.
On earth, we're only along for the ride, at God's bidding. In the Christian bible (which by the way served as the moral cornerstone for our great United States of America), He has told us how we can survive and get along any time, any place. It's all right there and the American constitution was framed around it.
Bottom line from a Christian and an American standpoint -- "climate change is real, world must tackle it" mentality is vanity. Everything that happens on earth way beyond human concept, is temporary.
That's what I finally concluded!
Great post! Thank you!
