They were not duped. They shamed the deliberately weasel worded document and the shaming would have been total (abstaining was another way of shaming) except for Inhofe the Egotist.

Despite the weak and lame attempt that Inhofe himself made that he doesnt believe humans are the primary driver of climate change, it doesnt change the fact that Cruz and others were duped into stating that Climate Change is not a hoax.
You don't know that at all. It is a total assumption on your part.

Of course there is climate change. The climate has been in a constant state of change since creation. However, it is not caused by human activity. Nature is primary and then add to that the significant changes causes by the sun, plus natural events such as earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes - all these things play a role in climate changing.

The amendment was expected to fail, but Republicans parsed the words of the amendment, arguing they could vote for it but at the same time believe that climate change was not man-made.
IOW, climate IS changing but it ain't man who is the cause.......

40 some corrupt idiots, 50 some who saw and took an opportunity to shame a strawman, and one supposedly ultra staunch Republican senator who took the bait to accept the warped definition of the liberals.

Nope, I won’t come around from focusing on roads of grace. If you turned away from that then you had better fear. Because you cannot damn your way to heaven.

Why would a sane Republican majority leader hold such a vote?
To: Oldeconomybuyer
The GOP led Senate has their head handed to them again.
Reid is still in power

You have swallowed the whole load.
Dude, that (bleep) will make you sick. You better spit next time.
I repeat (with simple words so that you can understand) Climate Change is another term for Global Warming. Which is defined as man made.
“Logical Fallacy”? Of course it is. These are liberal terms and ideas. They own them, and we get to use terms like Climate Change against them.
Just because Ted and other Repubs were DUPED into a lame and distorted re-phrase doesn’t change a thing.

I believe in climate change ... like the ice age (the big one), and then the Little Ice Age (a few hundred years ago), and the Medieval Warm Period (when Greenland was green).
I’m not talking about the four seasons of the year, but decades and hundreds of years of global warming and global cooling ... which has always happened throughout earth’s history.

The poster of this thread, Oldeconomybuyer, purposely edited out a paragraph in the middle of what he posted to make this seem much worse than it is.
You fell for it hook, line and sinker by not reading the article yourself.
Go read the article and look for the missing paragraph:
The amendment was expected to fail, but Republicans parsed the words of the amendment, arguing they could vote for it but at the same time believe that climate change was not man-made.
CRUZ or LOSE! Oldeconomybuyer should be ashamed for doing this.

“I believe in climate change and have always believed in climate change. However, I dont believe in Anthropogenic Global Warming!”
This is true it changes every season, and has been changing dramaticly for millions of years. Nut that is not what the left will say they meant.
I just don’t see why any Sane republican Majority Leader would hold such a pointless vote that can only serve to undermine his own party.

You have swallowed the whole load.
No, I'm simply remaining objective.

Once again, an assumption by you with no merit and no foundation in fact.

That is a redefinition that liberals have made. Why should we let liberals grab the language?
What’s the next thing, taking the verse about gay apparel out of Deck The Halls?
The GOP vote was a near perfect masterful move to shame that. The so called parsing was to read it without the “benefit” of a liberal dictionary.

Climate Change is absolutely true and verifiable. There’s no question about that!
