I guess if you make your ‘immigrants’ lots of promises you can’t, or never intended to keep, they are going to get angry. Whose idea was it to tell these people, who have nothing in common with the people they are expected to live amongst, that the taxpayer would feed, accommodate and clothe them?
And give them free health care...and education.
All the things we post WW2 migrants to Australia had to work for. We were promised nothing and expected nothing. My family lived in a wooden shack without electricity or plumbing for three years before we got on our feet.
