We’ll get a good dose of that “clarification” and chastisement from our catholic FRiends right here on FR too.

I swear, if the pope ordered the burning of protestant churches tomorrow, a few would speak out; most would ignore him; but there’d be a few “good catholics” who would bop down to the MegaMarket for gasoline and lighters.

They have to. If the "vicar of Christ on earth" is wrong, their faith is shattered.

If the church where I worship suddenly had a leader or pastor emerge to started uttering completely un-Biblical tirades, I would leave, and find another place to worship Christ. And my faith in Jesus would not be shaken one iota because some loon fell through the cracks.

Because my faith is not in man, but in Him.
