You are correct. I’m guessing most of the posts here are coming from those who rarely attend youth sports.

I coached 11-12 yo rec baseball two years ago. We played teams that kept stealing when they were 10 runs ahead with an inning to go, and teams were limited to 5 runs an inning.

Highlight of the year was smoking one of those teams in the playoffs. It was a good lesson for both teams. I was vocal when we had it wrapped up: no more stealing, it's over...final score was 13-5. They beat us twice in the regular season by scores of 15-2 and 13-4.

My wife won't let me coach anymore, I'm too tough. Lol. Four moms asked me to coach again, their sons thought I was the best coach they ever had.
