CHICAGO People who live in Chicago know a few things to be true about their city. Winters are brutal. The architecture is first-rate. The Cubs will lose.
In the last few years, they have confidently added another: The Barack Obama Presidential Library will be built here, Mr. Obamas adopted hometown.
But as the Obamas and their foundation near a decision on the location of the library after narrowing the options down to Hawaii, Chicago and New York City someone in their camp recently let it slip that they are not so pleased with Chicagos bids.

They can’t get any bids in Chicago? How much does it cost to purchase a boarded-up liquor store and convert it to Obama’s Library and Welfare Office?
In his cell...
It won’t be Hawaii. Obama will put it where it best fluffs his ego. He will chose NYC where he can have millions of kids forced to do their pilgrimage and pay homage to his glory.
The guy’s a transient, so, what do they expect? He doesn’t really have a home.
Yeah, it will be Hawaii. Chicago was just a useful stopover.
During the entire time Obama has been on office it doesn’t seem he has gone back to Chicago vey much, in fact very little.
He has that home there but they never seem to use it or visit anyone there.

Maybe they could riot to show their support for the library.
For the location to have a statement relative to his political career, it should be built in the Balkans.
It's either that or the lost city of Atlantis.
I said Ike’s library was in Abilene and it still is. The reference to the song was merely cutesee.
I say it should be in the Blue Oyster bar of Police Academy fame.
Nobody lives on Bikini Island after the nuke tests.
Well, it’s the baddest part of town.
I know... I was making a joke...
