Had they not died as part of the Charlie Hebdo killers' final act, I wonder how much publicity the murders of Philippe Braham, Yohan Cohen, Yoav Hattab, and François-Michel Saada at a kosher grocery store would have attracted. An Islamic fanatic killed another quartet of Jews at the Jewish Museum in Brussels last spring, and it was a big story for a couple of days, and then faded away. Over the last decade, the Continent seems to have developed a certain psychological ease with the routine murder of Jews. What remains of Jewish communal life in Europe now takes place behind reinforced doors and barbed wire, and the actual extinction of an entire identity group's presence is discussed as calmly as the long-range weather. Forty-five per cent of British Jews say Jews have no future in Britain, and 58 per cent says Jews have no future in Europe.
European leaders like M Hollande insist they're able to protect the Jewish community - or at least hold the remorseless picking-off of their members to manageable levels. The leader of the continent's biggest Jewish group is disinclined to take such assurances:
In a letter sent to interior ministries around Europe and obtained by Newsweek, Rabbi Menachem Margolin, director general of the Rabbinical Centre of Europe (RCE) and the European Jewish Association (EJA) - the largest federation of Jewish organizations and communities in Europe - writes: "We hereby ask that gun licensing laws are reviewed with immediate effect to allow designated people in the Jewish communities and institutions to own weapons for the essential protection of their communities, as well as receiving the necessary training to protect their members from potential terror attacks."

Like Oedipus and Jocasta, in breathtaking denial, the more Europeans determine that they will not repeat the past, the more inexorably they damn themselves to do exactly that.
Yes. Themselves.
Tell me more about Curtis LeMay. What do you mean by that?
Read Victor Davis Hanson's books.
LeMay was the man behind the US’s saturation bombing of Japan with Napalm and other incendiaries in WWII. He was a “total war” General who knew that the Japanese or Germans would never surrender until UTTERLY DESTROYED. This meant shortening the war and ultimately saving millions of lives.
There was no sympathy, no touchy-feely, I share your pain sentiment in that war by that generation.
Today we face another global threat yet we are mostly the “latte generation”, incapable of imagining evil atrocities being committed in the name of some Prophet.
We are unprepared and ill-equipped to deal with Islam. Note I did not say “radical” Islam. My point was that at some point in the not too distant future we will have to confront these bastards just as we did very late into WWII.
Ours is s generation unprepared and soft and the enemy knows this. This is why he kills and taunts us at the same time.
The real game changer here is what Israel has been warning us about for decades - Iran. We still think appeasement will work when we know it won't. At some point we are going to have to find the right leadership to combat this onslaught.
Obama told the Israelis and other lesser allies that “all options are on the table” and we all know that is a lot of baloney.
LeMay was in the right place at the right time for the right reasons. We will have to find our Rooselvelt, Churchill, Patton and LeMay soon or we will be headless corpses.
We still don't get it, not even after 9/11 but we will be getting it soon enough.
Curtis Lemay was the architect of the bombing campaign against Japan during World War II. The B-29’s were very successful in leveling Japanese cities which would be a “war crime” in our Rules of Engagement world.
Lemay commanded SAC in the 1950’s (the nuclear bomber force).
He was USAF Chief of Staff in the early 1960’s but left knowing that LBJ was about to not use air power to win the Vietnam War. Lemay agreed to be George Wallace’s running mate as a third party candidate in 1968.
Lemay was convinced an IRS audit on him during Nixon’s first term as President was meant to intimidate him from getting involved in politics.
From the article:
” . . . the protagonist’s Jewish girlfriend Myriam decides it’s time to get the hell out of France and flee to Israel. And François says bleakly, “There is no Israel for me.” “
The US used to be the place to which the oppressed in Europe could flee, as long as it closely guarded the values of the Judeo-Christian civilization first nurtured in the countries of Europe.
Used to be.
“We hereby ask that gun licensing laws are reviewed with immediate effect to allow designated people in the Jewish communities and institutions to own weapons for the essential protection of their communities.”
While I like hearing this Jewish leader calling for access to guns for protection, he may not even be aware that Jews, as a group, are among the BIGGEST GUN GRABBERS in the Western World (i.e., Bloomberg is not exactly a Christian name). So before he bitches too much at the French government for not having gun rights, he may want to first EDUCATE his flock as to why they’re needed.
Reminds me of that saying that we all know that goes something like this: “First they came for the retarded, then the old, then the sick, then the Jews, then the gays, and that was fine...but when they got to me, there was no one left to protect me.” [badly worded, but you get the point].
In Europe there is no NRA or anything like it. In the US, there is the NRA and especially the GOA - groups that protect the right of Jews, blacks, and EVERYONE ELSE in the United States to own guns, yet are still REVILED by Jews.
It’s time they shape up a bit.
Netz, you have articulated my thoughts, quite well, better than I could have!
To you both:
The answer to us in today’s world is that kind of person is the answer.
The Pansies of today would not accept him because he had Brass B-LLs and smoked cigars.
We all know what happened to Gen. William “Billy” Mitchell and Gen. Stanley Allen McChrystal.
I remember Gen. LeMay as the the “MAN” at McDill AFB, when I visited my brother, stationed there, 1952-53.
Roosevelt was part of the problem, not part of the solution. He was an evil monster that far more harm to America than he did good.
God is in the process of gathering Jews back to Israel in preparation for the coming 7-year Tribulation, just prior to the coming of Jesus, the Messiah of Israel, back to this earth!
I am with you 100 percent. Thanks for the info. Wish we had more pro American politicians like Curtis Le May would have been.
Not just jews, but gays too. Unbelievable the amount of liberals giving up liberal french satire journalists in France to islam, cowering in fear. They all remind me of the zombies in HG Well’s Time Machine, seeing one of theirs drown and doing nothing, asking why you saved her.
The “Man” was too much for JFK and RFK.
