I think Honesty is the greatest measure, right with Wisdom and analytic ability. Denizens of Satan’s world are painting him as a bomb-throwing revolutionary just for speaking the truth, in this time of universal deceit.
Americans are sick of the constant lying, dodging, tyranny and pettiness of all aspects of government. Ted’s truth will be an elixir to them once they hear it.
A decent, truthful and committed real American. Corrupt politicians would not only hate such they would not even understand a person of integrity.
“lol. If he were libertarian, I would not support him”
Me too, and most people on this site. So the attempt here is to him in the Ron Paul camp, hopefully to weaken him.
Based on what I know of him so far, I like him. But whether or not I’ll vote for him in the election partly depends upon who’s running against him. Might end up liking somebody else more, who knows?
Who do you see, on the probable horizon, that might outshine him, if I may ask?
Yes, but I couldn’t resist.
If Ron Paul’s machine supports Cruz, the gope-STAB can all put their DC condos up for sale. Is it correct in KY you cannot retain your Senate seat while running for POTUS or any other office?
Cruz isn’t a Libtardian! Other than that in the headline, I agree with much of it.
Those are all good answers, but what I meant by “Do I even have to say it?” is that Obola was a first-term Senator with two years experience when he ran for pResident.
Let’s try Savior of American Sanity. Put a halo around his head on the cover of Time Magazine and make it a crime for libtards to besmirch his name.
At least we could get the pendulum of sanity half way back.
Alison Lundergan Grimes, Kentuckys secretary of state, is threatening to take Rand Paul to court to block him from running simultaneously for president and reelection to the Senate in 2016.
In her first television interview since Sen. Mitch McConnell routed her by 15 points last month, the Democratic Senate nominee declared that she will not be bullied by Paul, who is a heavy favorite to win a second Senate term if hes allowed to stay on the ballot.
The law is clear, Grimes told WHAS-TV in Louisville. You cant be on the ballot twice for two offices.
Well look to the court for any guidance that is needed, she added. And at the end of the day, were not going to be bullied.
That means Iowa goes to Cruz, and I wonder if this author isn’t subtly trying to predict just that.
Ted Cruz is one of a very few principled conservatives serving as a legislator.
I think I remember reading Rand cant run for Prez and keep his Senate seat...?
McCain did, as did Ron Paul in the House
Americans are sick of the constant lying, dodging, tyranny and pettiness of all aspects of government. Teds truth will be an elixir to them once they hear it.
Yes. Americans really are sick of being lied to. I think that really helped Carter win. This may be a winning strategy, if he really underlines all of Obama’s lies and really demonstrates honesty in his campaign — and his life speaks for itself. (Not counting the beer in his trunk at 17) ;)
Scott Walker is the Dark Horse. But other than the few public exposures he has had fighting the teacher union I really know nothing about his politics (Even Christie has that going for him). Republicans seem to be looking for alternatives that are their own Barack Obama blank canvas.
Have any of Mr. Obama’s professors come forward to speak of his brilliance?
Have any of Obama’s professors even come forward at all?
Whom I really wish to come forward would be a scrubber of Obama’s past. Surely ONE of them, maybe on his deathbed, or just brave, will one day speak of what they did to wipe Obama’s slate cleaner than anyone in the witness protection program ever got?
As far back as 1960, Lyndon Baines Johnson had a Texas law changed so that he could run for re-election to his US Senate seat at the same time he was running as John F. Kennedys Vice President. In 1988, Senator Lloyd Bentsen did the same thing so he could run for both the US Senate and Vice President. Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman (VP in 2000), Delawares Joe Biden (VP in 2008), and Wisconsin congressman Paul Ryan (VP 2012) all did as well. Source
That's a little unclear, though. Johnson had the law changed. I don't know if the others had to do that.
This is all I ever needed to know about Chris Christie.
Doesn’t look like KY intends to change their laws so Rand can run.
