Many Republicans think he's moving too fast. "Serving a third of a Senate term is not enough experience to be president of the United States," says one Texas Republican who's had dealings with Cruz. Do I even have to say it?

There’s more to live than being a Senator. He’s got legal experience at the top of national politics.
The left will celebrate the brilliance of Obama’s legal mind because he was a speaker in classes. Cruz was at the center of constitutional battles in front of the Supreme Court, and has yet to lose. 5-0. Let’s compare those resumes for a moment.

Ted Cruz is an old-style statesman, much like our Founding Fathers.
He reminds a lot of James Wilson, for some reason.

Wouldn't it be better than the current crop of Statists?

I wouldn’t worry too much about what Glenn thinks.
Ted is not “Libertarian” in the mode of Ran Paul.
Mostly, Ted is a God fearing Constitutionalist, who knows how to fight and will kick Jeb’s butt in any debate.

“Many people still get jolted when a candidate calls not to reform or rein in the IRS but to abolish it.” IOW, he’s too “progressive” for moderates and progressives, wanting to tear down icons, as he does.

Of ALL candidates from either party, Cruz looks to be the one person who is highly capable and badly needed. This country needs someone to pull it from the grasps of destruction and I see Cruz as the one capable of doing such. Unfortunately, the rinos will not support the person they really need to keep us all from total destruction.
