My personal favorite from 1938. It was 77 years ago today this was played at Carnegie Hall. Said Gene Krupa before they went onstage: "I feel like a whore in church." The piano solo at 9:30 is one of the most haunting things I've ever heard. I still get cold chills listening to it.

Having taken private piano lessons from ages 10 - 18, I can appreciate the piano solo. However, by age 18 my fingers had gotten too wide to fit between the little black keys and the big white keys so that I switched to percussion. ;-)
