A casual check will confirm that the so-called prophecy is open-ended.
The last 112 Popes may be defined in a decade, or in year 2525...

Publius, I've read St. Malachy's prophecies. I'm not certain what you mean. My copy isn't handy right now: JPII was "of the labor of the sun"; Benedict XVI was, "of the glory of the olive"; is Francis "Peter the Roman", or am I missing one? He also wrote a paragraph re: the last prophecy. I'm kind of confused on where you stated the dates came in. Is it because he did not begin with Peter, Linus, Cletus, et al? Would you clarify a little, please?
