The nursery 1/2 mile from my house sells tobacco plants in flats right along with tomatoes, peppers, squash, etc etc.
You know, I just did some reading (a little) and it has either been relaxed, or I’ve been told wives tales for years. I was under the impression tobacco seeds were strictly regulated and even the total number of plants for personal use were restricted. So far, I’m not finding any actual laws (not to mean there aren’t any). I would assume selling it is a serious no-no, but looks like I stand corrected on this one. It appears you can grow as much as you want for personal use without paying taxes on it.
