U.S. healthcare executives say Obamacare is not going anywhere

(Reuters) - U.S. healthcare executives say Obamacare is likely here to stay, despite repeated calls from Republican lawmakers for repeal of the 2010 law aimed at providing health coverage for millions of uninsured Americans.

Top executives who gathered in San Francisco this week for the annual J.P. Morgan Healthcare conference, say that while President Obama's signature domestic policy achievement may well be tweaked, it is too entrenched to be removed.

If enough citizens put enough pressure on, Obamacare will be toast.

Probably not blackmail. I suspect Roberts does this willingly and rather gleefully.

Speaking of glee...

The corrupt, EXEMPT —like Boehner,
have INVESTED in ObamaCARE/RomneyCARE companies.
The EXEMPT not only avoid the LAWS they pass for others,
but the EXEMPT violate SEC restrictions to screw Americans.

The only hope was to defund it like the republicans promised they would do if we elected them in 2010. But they were cowards and stabbed us in the back.

Now they’ll do the same thing on amnesty.

You bet your sweet bippy they're cleaning up, that's why it's "too entrenched to repeal".

Oh, but they're mostly non-profits, like a certain outfit that's buying up Catholic healthcare interests all over the country? Yeah, maybe, on paper, but all the subsidiaries that they're now outsourcing things to that had heretofore been done internally by Catholic healthcare are for profit.

Food service, housekeeping, information systems for starters, and then they'll move more into real healthcare specialties and outsource them into for-profit subsidiaries too. Physical, speech, and occupational therapy along with psychological therapy and no telling what else. Maybe even nursing care.

It's all a funny money fandango, and now the big money guys are playing ball and they're moving those shells around on that little table. Guess who the mark is?

They're on the equity side of the deal, along with 0, and we're screwed, unless someone can inspire the congress to do something the f about it.

The moment USSC ok’ed it, it was entrenched. But the GOP-e isn’t taking any chances and is doing it’s best to make sure of it.

All of us who kept screaming “YOU CAN’T UNRING A BELL” should’ve been heeded. But... alas...

‘Probably not blackmail. I suspect Roberts does this willingly and rather gleefully.’

I think it’s willing but not gleeful. Word was that he had originally decided against Obamacare in the big case that failed, and midway through changed his mind. The conservatives were furious. It likely happened because he is weak, and just cannot stand the press piling on him in its most vicious and brutal manner. So, to be the press darling, he changed his decision and voted their way.

Jmho.

If Republicans will simply stop funding it, it will be gone immediately.

I’m thinking Americans need to focus on that obvious fact like a laser beam.

Start calling it BoehnerCare.

New tagline ...

Word from whom, exactly?

I’ve heard lots of “word” in the past that so-and-so and so-and-so-else was a “staunch conservative” that ultimately ended up being revealed as RINO and/or outright liberal. So I do apologize for being jaded on such matters.

Actually, “insurance” as it is defined now is socialized medicine.

Yup. There is no such thing as 'medical insurance' anymore in the US. It has become a complete misnomer overnight. However you slice it, it's now just a compliance fee into the Federal socialized medical system.

“U.S. healthcare executives say Obamacare is not going anywhere”

Why wouldn’t they say this?

The hospital groups, medical device manufacturers, and the insurance companies all pushed it. They were the enablers of ObamaDeathCare.

They don’t want it to go away, so of course they would argue “it’s too entrenched” to repeal.

Amazing, isn’t it, that a free market economy sector can always be displaced by a government take over, but it can never work the other way. At least according to chumps like these.

”… it is too entrenched [emphasis added] to be removed."

What nonelected US healthcare executives are wrongly ignoring about Obamacare is the following. The states have never amended the Constitution to grant the feds the specific power to regulate, tax and spend for intrastate healthcare purposes. So wherever Obamacare is entrenched, it isn’t entrenched in the Constitution where it needs to be.
