Jesus help us. The Pope supports beheadings.
Yep, he’s a Jesuit.
He’s a menace.
“Pope Francis suggested there are limits to freedom of expression”
Seriously, Catholics?
This was the best of the bunch to pick from?
Can the Pope cite a new testament bible verse that validates this ideal? Oh, and by they way how about the bible verse about Climate Change too...
Someone should tell Frank that, as a Christian, he really should only believe that there is one “faith.” The rest is just being nice to people who are misguided.
Just try and stop me.
While I generally think it's a dumb idea to do so on the basis of differing beliefs alone, there are certain practices, doctrines, and more importantly, religious leaders that practically beg to be mocked.
And mocked they shall be.
>>>Pope Francis on Freedom of Speech: ‘One Cannot Make Fun of Faith’
Just odd!! Yet, killing(murder - “just cause”) is holy justified per the Koran. The Pope is looking through the wrong end of telescope”. Truly, already muslims insult all humanity by their actions only because of their weird sensitivities! Sorry Pope, you’re way off on this one!
FUPF
He was raised and indoctrinated in Argentina-an almost- communist country, he lacks exposure to the real world, and should not be commenting on freedom of anything-or climate change, for that matter. He doesn’t play the game, so he shouldn’t make the rules.
I’m a Catholic, and I’m aware that the church has survived some really, really bad and wrong popes over the centuries-it will survive this one, too...
God bless Pope Francis.
Seriously, Francis, you can cram it.
When he speaks like this, it really makes him look like he is one with the fascists.
this is the third or fourth statement attributed to Pope Francis that sounds absolutely insane (as well as very unChristian) to me.
I sure hope all these statements are mis-quotes. But if so, Pope Francis needs to come out and clear up the record. Its not as if the Vatican lacks media resources to do this....
Socialist Pope continues to say stupid things. News at 11.
And please stop with the “he’s being misinterpreted, misquoted, mistranslated, or otherwise misunderstood”. His words are his words. He is a South American Jesuit leftist and the world is vastly worse off the day this man became the head of the Catholic church.
Piss off.
I'll make fun of any and everything I care to, and use any means at my disposal to proactively defend myself against anyone who would try to shut me down- you, mullahs, pastors, atheists.
The ONLY limits to speech should be libel, slander, and the revealing of legitimately classified information. And I will be exactly as prone to use violence to defend this position as any Jihadi, crusader or officer of the law.
Such for 5 urging the other cheek...This pope is not very impressive...
I think the Pope has just told me the next time someone cracks a Catholic joke I should go and belt him.
“Throwing a pretend punch, the Pope said: ‘Its normal. You cannot provoke. You cannot insult the faith of others. You cannot make fun of the faith of others.’
It’s normal? What violent reactions would he classify as normal, in addition to punching? Let him say what actions he thinks are “normal” when one is provoked. If he is maintaining that his throwing punches or engaging in other violent activity should be dismissed as “normal,” pope needs a course in anger management.
Well, the Catholic Church always wanted to shut Martin Luther up.
Sorry Mr Francis, “making fun” of other people’s opinions, on secular or religious matters, is an integral part of freedom of speech. From the head of the world’s religious institution with the longest history against separation of church and state, Mr Francis’ remarks are not surprising.
Yes, I am being serious and funny at the same time. To some Mr Francis may be a pope, but to me he’s just Mr Francis. Respecting someone’s religious title is reserved for those OBLIGATED by their faith to respect it, not anyone else. There, that’s freedom of speech by western standards, Mr Francis.
