This story was originally reported in the Indonesian language from a Newspaper there. It was picked up by the New Straits times, and then Yahoo News. Walid Shoebat picked it up earlier today and had to issue a revision to his story saying there is no verification that the “Expert” who supposedly heard those words on the voice recorder and was quoted has actually even listened to the recording as of yet. .

This story is the proverbial “much ado about nothing” at this point.

This story is the proverbial “much ado about nothing” at this point.

This 'story' has been repeated all over the place today, and it is as you say, nothing.

The original words were translated and lost some tense and meaning in the process. The guy was trying to say that as soon as he got to listen that he was going to have a hard time listening to HIS FRIEND'S LAST WORDS.

He also discussed the previous experiences he has had, and some of the last words he had heard before.

Anyway, after translation, the whole thing got really ambiguous and easily mis-read.

My understanding is that the CVR has to undergo a drying out period before it can have the data extracted from it.
