Yeah the idea of college being for all is a disastrous fantasy that is leaving us with a nation full of people who can’t or won’t get their hands dirty doing the actual building and making.

College should be for the very best students to learn the cutting edge technologies and sciences. Instead those students have to swim upstream against an endless flow of students who should be in trade schools and apprenticeship programs.

The low-information voters don’t see money coming from the people, they see money coming from the state. So in their minds, anything from the state is free to them. Well it is if you don’t pay taxes. Maybe not free to you or me, but to those who don’t pay taxes it is.

Amen!

As for learning about arts and literature, you can go to libraries or museums. For a few thousand you can spend money on a bus ticket, hotel, enjoy a nice trip to the various museums or other places or save and buy books on the subject and read them.

Not spend time wasting money on lectures. If you are too lazy to learn about art in your own time, you’re obviously unmotivated to make something of that degree you’ll be buying.
