E Acton gets reprinted from time to time, and I see there’s been a recent (2011) reprint by something called Quadrille Publishing. It’s still available. Whether that house has any views on the pig I know not. Incidentally, if your copy of Mrs Beeton is anything like my mother’s, it will take some burning - over 1000 pages, about six inches thick with a heavy morocco binding, as I recall. Mrs B pinched quite a few of her best ‘receipts’ from Eliza (without acknowledgement).
