I really need to take more seriously the two things I still lack on my KY property: 1. Solar power 2. A concealed carry permit.

AMEN brother.

1. I just got off the grid completely in July. I discovered that I need to add wind power during the winter months to my solar to run at peak power 24/7. I have a propane generator back-up, but it would be nice not to dip into it.

2. Get the permit and don't look back! Had mine for 6 years and wished I'd done it sooner.

We're looking at wind too. As you can see in the first picture (our property includes two "knobs" with two "hollers" with streams) there can be some good wind sometimes.
