In March 2014, Rogers announced he would not seek an 8th term in Congress. He plans to pursue a career in syndicated radio. Former Michigan State Senator Mike Bishop won the Republican primary and defeated Democratic challenger Eric Schertzing. Bishop will be sworn in January 3, 2015.
Yes, Rogers is gone. I used to live in Michigan in his district. Bet he’s not happy with this one. Dmply saying I don’t think Pelosi would get away with this if he were still there.
