NOT ONE talking head these days has understood the implications of just how appropriate is the militia for dealing with an internal threat such as terrorism. I think perhaps there are multiple reasons that the political case do not want this:
- It takes the citizen from a passive role to an active role,
- which lessens dependence upon government agents,
- and eliminates a
hysteria button
that they can press. - Further, it would teach them that government is not always the answer,
- it would teach them that they can, by their own force of arms, effect change —
- change such as deposing tyrants who abuse government power.

I think we're on the same page there. We could easily deal with illegals the same way.
