It is only “irresponsible” speech that needs to be protected.

Left wing trash! I doubt they’re thinking this way when they’re criticizing Catholics, Protestants, and Jews in their articles and op-ed pieces.

ALL the terrorists fires are from Islamic terrorists.

Why cannot we IDENTIFY the arsonists who lit the fire?

The West's relationship with much of the Muslim world is inflamed right now. Why choose to pour salt in this open wound, rather than ask ourselves what we can do to build bridges of understanding?

The muslims have been inflamed and butt hurt since the 7th century when it was created by the Al Capone and Adolph Hitler of his day. We don't have a problem, it's the muslims that have a problem. What these leftists don't seem to get is that there will never be a bridge of understanding because muslims aren't understanding and don't want a bridge, they want to remain separate from the rest of the world. Muslims are nothing more than seventh century savages. They aren't just stuck on stupid, they're stuck on seventh century stupid.

Fire in a crowded theater. They love that analogy. But look at the case that it was first used in as a concept. Schenck v. United States.

A guy sent out flyers opposing Wilsons draft for WWI and called it a monstrous wrong. They said speaking against the draft was like yelling fire in a crowded theater.
The attack on free speech was more important to America than anything whatsoever having to do with WWI.

SO no thank you, I will not temper my free speech.

Then they should watch what they say about “teabaggers.”

Translation: we support free speech as long as it doesn’t require, you know, any actual courage.

Never forget this about liberals: they are fundamentally cowards. That’s why they get so faux-outraged about metaphorical issues. They know it won’t come to blows.

In the present case, we are dealing with monsters who destroy and kill merely because they are offended. People like that need to be offended mercilessly.

Muslims can't, and won't, coexist with anyone else who isn't a muslim.

There is no such thing a “moderate” or a “tolerate” muslim.

Islam is not a religion. It is a plan, just like communism, socialism, or an oligarchy.

And just like the above mentioned, islam is just another form of SLAVERY, preying on and subjugating the weak minded and uninformed.

And the person you’re replying to did not say it was “reporting”, but “writ(ing) stuff like this”.

Here is what was written...Anyone who works for the press who writes stuff like this is a fool.

Opinion writers usually aren't paid employees and it applies in this instance.

Clearly these acts of violence are unjustified and not representative of the Muslim faith. But...

Lots of "buts" and "howevers" in these "blame the victim" pieces this morning.

I’d be more inclined to limit freedom of religion in the US. The XXVIII Amendment: “A death cult is not a religion. Period.”

Kick them all the Hell out of here.

“(W)ork(ing) for the press” can mean either reporting or opining. Does not make those who “write stuff like this” any less foolish.

Opinion writers can and do get paid by the newspaper; they are not always guest writers, and can be the paper’s editorial board.

Bullcrap. You can’t have it both ways and the problem here is THEY don’t understand OUR view of personal freedom. If they don’t agree with it they should stay in their poverty ridden, disease infected, primitive Islamic paradises and not come here so they won’t be “offended”. I for one, intend to “offend” them as much as possible and suggest any sane westerners do so also.

“The West’s relationship with much of the Muslim world is inflamed right now.”

Nope. The muslims are attacking the West and everyone else, so it is they who have an inflamed relationship.

Responsibility is a Christian trait.

"A society's first line of defense is not the law but customs, traditions and moral values. These behavioral norms, mostly transmitted by example, word-of-mouth and religious teachings, represent a body of wisdom distilled over the ages through experience and trial and error. They include important thou-shalt-nots such as shalt not murder, shalt not steal, shalt not lie and cheat, but they also include all those courtesies one might call ladylike and gentlemanly conduct."

"Policemen and laws can never replace these restraints on personal conduct. At best, the police and criminal justice system are the last desperate line of defense for a civilized society. This failure to fully transmit value norms to subsequent generations represents another failing of the greatest generation."

- Walter E. Williams, Nov. 21, 2007

They think that by appeasing the alligators, they will be eaten last.

Radical Islamists has shown that they have no more use for reporters than they do for women/children. They do seem to have an abundance of reporters to behead on video. That does make news.

There is a convoluted irony in what is going on.

Oh yeah, cuz the Western media have demonstrated such “responsibility” with their fictionalized, dramatized, sanitized, plagiarized, advocacy journalism.

The West's relationship with much of the Muslim world is inflamed right now.

By the way, it is the muslime world's relationship with the West that is inflamed, not vice versa.
