Aubrey will almost always leave a little bit of food for Strider to clean up. She had a litter of pups she hunted food for, I wonder if Jackie ever had a litter? Srider has never touched her food without permission, but will patiently wait until we notice Aubrey has finished eating and give him the go-ahead.
He possibly was taught that in his foster home. His foster mom told me that she fed all the dogs in the kitchen with her in the center and dogs around her. I was used to feeding my dog in the kitchen but he wouldn't eat there, he just wouldn't.
Aubrey, when we got her, was such a scared pup that she very seldom strayed very far from under the computer desk. So we would feed her under there. We finally figured out that it was important to Strider to be around another dog when eating, so we started feeding them both in the living room. Luckily, neither is a sloppy eater!

Jackie acts like she had pups but I dunno.
She acts motherly towards Blanca but could be cause she is female.
Jackie was in amazingly good health when I got her....still is. But she was spayed by the SPCA right before I got her so very possible she had pups.
BUT she doesn’t let Blanca suckle on her though Blanca would like to I think.
