MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Attorney General Eric Holder.

THIS WEEK (ABC): Holder; Sen. Richard Burr, R-N.C.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Holder; Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif.
I don’t expect or even want the thread to get to a hunnert today.
Moron Holder doesn’t deserve it.
I just think the drivebys are really questioning our intelligence this morning with this a$$wipe on. I CERTAINLY question theirs!
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network):
What are the terrorists called?
Wallace: “Islamic Jihadists”,
and from a video of an analyst:
“(They are) part of larger network, assigned to this atrocity.”
Gen. Martin Dempsey does not call them Islamic terrorists,
but ISIL.
Gen. Martin Dempsey: ISIL ... tries to rebrand itself,
that is what makes it dangerous.
A group that embraces such radical ideology must
(maintain momentum).
Wallace: Was attack directed?
Gen. Martin Dempsey:
“They were inspired. One did receive training in Yemen.
There is a linkage between them.
Wallace: (How safe is the USA)
Do we need to step up our efforts?
Gen. Martin Dempsey:
Capabilities are that the country (USA) can play
an “away game”.
Gen. Martin Dempsey claims we reversed the
“territorial gains” of the Islamic terrorists.
(Based on what?)
Claims ISIL will “collapse under its own contradictions”.
“Nine lines of effort exist ... three military
(against them).”
Wallace: Can Mosul be retaken? Will US troops be needed?
(doesnt know) “we are months away from that”.
Wallace: How can (Obama) say Afganistan will no longer be
the source of (terrorism)?
Gen. Martin Dempsey: “Ask him”. ...
“we are in a good place in Afghanistan ...”
(Terrorism) may not be there now, but could be tomorrow”.
Wallace: (How do you feel about the fact that)
55% of active duty troops do not feel Obama is doing
a good job.
Gen. Martin Dempsey:
“I tell them that Obama supports their efforts.”
... “Am I being micromanaged.
I will have to check with the White House.”
(He feels he can say anything to Obama
who then makes the decision).
re: Release of prisoners with high recividism rate (>30%)
Wallace: Are you worried that Obama is pushing to close
GITMO.
Gen. Martin Dempsey: He says no, it makes a “scar” on
our image. But the worst must be detained,
and he blames our “elected officials”
for not taking them into the homeland.
Wallace: Could we take out the nuclear program of Iran?
Gen. Martin Dempsey claims it is an unacceptable risk,
and our military can only “delay” their attainment of nukes.
Yes, FOX News commented on 0bama being absent and missing a good opportunity. (Typical)
Holder was there anyway.
FNC has brought his speech at the Univ in front of the Inmans up a few times (IIRC he gave it on Dec 31). Megyn discussed it and played part of it within the past few days.
Not much snow thankfully, I think I took out the transaxle on my garden tractor (with snowblower rig) Had to do the last storm with the old walk-behind.
It’s been ostly cold, single digit and negative temps. I’m taking the opportunity to re-stack my woodpile.
Mmmmm....heat goood....cold baaaad.
“Did anyone in the news media mention that Obomber was absent?”
Tucker just did on FNC. Said that he sent Holder, but hadn’t seen him in the crowd of leaders yet (maybe he’s checking out the golf courses for Obummer in the Paris area).
Maybe they shouldn't be handling an explosive gas, especially at your house.
Apple will always cost more, as they make their own hardware and software—there is no competition on their products. Nice computers though, but not as functional because most software is made for the PC. I do not mean to discourage the purchase of an Apple for anyone, just stating facts. Most people won’t miss the software that PCs have that Apple does not. It is a big deal for hardcore gamers...
However, a Windows based computer shouldn’t get viruses, either. The home user is much more prone to a virus than the corporate user, because most corporate computers install a corporate image of the operating system without all the bloatware and the corporate network will impose policies that keep the computers safe. If you treated your home network as you would a corporate network you probably wouldn’t be getting most viruses.
I think I’ll write a guide on preventing viruses at home...
Thanks much RG.
I have fought virus forever and I’m tired ofsome Russian somewhere taking over my computer. I don’t need the bother.
And I’ll tell you something else. my computer needs are much less than in my past. Example, I am using my Kiindle and am able to do most of what I need a computer for.
Of course I need a computer....the Kindle ain’t enough. Point being I need the Internet, a good word processor and a program to doctor up pictures.
My days of needing a spreadsheet and database....yada, yada....are done.
As for the puppy, it’s an American bull dog My son-in-law, no longer living with my daughter, got a male and female dog with plans to breed them. They broke up right around the time that the female got pregnant, poor thing less than six months old.
She had ten puppies,,,,,one died, nine lived.
Daughter, God bless and did I tell you she is the sickly type?
Anyway she had big plans she was going to sell the puppies at almost a grand each.
Heh.
I took one because my dog, a rescue dog that I adore and who has been a great dog....but she NEEDS another dog.
I never thought a puppy....that’s why I got Jackie.4 and a half years old....so NOT a puppy.
Daughter is never going to sell those puppies but they are quite beautiful.
Anyway...new computer,new dog...Happy New Year
Guess who is on Fox news Sunday? Mine senator...Chris Coons.
On Keystone pipeline....what?
Wants congress to NOT over-ride the president’s veto.
Let me tell, Delawareans WANT that pipeline.
Coons...jerk.
His absence screams that he supports the actions of the Maniacal Murdering Moslems.
I don’t know what to say AB
I purchased Norton, I backup....I do play a lot of games, but I can play the same games on my Kindle.
I am on the Internet a lot.
I don’t do x-rated sites.
I estimate I’ve had about five serious virus in as many years.
I’d sure like to know what I’m doing wrong.
