Thanks for posting. This is a well written piece by Peter Hitchens, who clearly has a good understanding of the situation and of the European ruling establishment.
Funny how fast they committed to world war when a duke was assassinated in the Balkans...but want to avoid harming relations with the oil rich Arabians for something so plain to see and understand as the infiltration and subjugation of an entire nation as Britain...uhm...something is afoul here...
What could be more political than discussing how to defend ourselves against this sort of crime?
I agree it is generally well written, but to call acts of war, of invasion, of terrorism 'crime' is to exactly play into the hands he wishes to be critical of. 'What's there to discuss, it is a crime, we've made it a crime, the police will investigate the crime, it's all done talking about.'
He cedes the most important discussion point: What should be the response to an act of war? But he cuts off all discussion by calling it a crime, and by gosh, why is someone commenting on a common crime, etc.
