Major Russian TV network says US intelligence carried out the Charlie Hebdo attack

LifeNews, a mainstream Russian TV news channel, aired a segment on Thursday in which a regular guest and "expert political analyst" stated that the Charlie Hebdo terrorist attack in Paris had in fact been carried out by United States intelligence agencies.

The guest, Alexei Martynov, suggested that US intelligence had launched the Charlie Hebdo attack in order to sabotage the global effort against Islamist terrorism, which he argued Russia is leading. Martynov also argued that the attack was meant to pressure French President Francois Hollande into maintaining Western economic sanctions against Russia.

One of the key shareholders in this channel is a good friend of Putin and the guy who launched it is very pro-Kremlin. Calls Putin the father of the nation.

This network was established very recently and came to prominence for pushing Kremlin line in covering event in Ukraine. Part of Putin’s new and improved propaganda scheme. It has quickly became very prominent in areas where Kremlin wants hard hitting direct media misinformation. It doesn’t seem to have any human interest programs - only propaganda. No TV-personalities with ego also, so they are sure to do what they are told.

I’m not saying it’s true, my point was, most of us probably feel, just as an example, that the cia has engaged in unsavory actions. and just as many of us feel those actions were probably necessary.
so, we seem to accept covert actions, but when something is overt, like 9/11 or hedbo, we get hysterical if someones suggest our involvement.
and by the way, that’s not even mentioning the fact that under the Obama administration, how many atrocities did he authorize?

Unfortunately, Putin’s got a fan club on FreeRepublic. It’s a fact. They’re quite persistent, devoted, churlish, and irrational. In short, they’re the perfect boob bait for Putin’s ideology. Lord Acton said, “Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.” These dolts believe Putin is the exception, his time in the KGB was no different than being in the Boy Scouts, and real conservatives, these putinistas think, don’t appreciate the rule of law as much as the rule of a putative opportunistic “Christian,” like Putin.

The Russian authorities refused to allow an autopsy, his relatives “managed to send a specimen of his skin to London, where a tentative diagnosis was made of poisoning with thallium” (a poison commonly used by the KGB, at first suspected in the Litvinenko killing).

June 2004 - Nikolai Girenko, a prominent human rights defender, Professor of Ethnology and expert on racism and discrimination in the Russian Federation is shot dead in his home in St Petersburg.

July 2004 - Paul Klebnikov, editor of the Russian edition Forbes magazine, is shot and killed in Moscow.

September 2004 - Viktor Yushchenko, anti-Russian candidate for the presidency of the Ukraine, is poisoned by Dioxin. Yushchenko’s chief of staff OlegRibachuk suggests that the poison used was amycotoxin called T-2, also known as “Yellow Rain,” a Soviet-era substance which was reputedly used in Afghanistan as a chemical weapon. Miraculously, he survives the attack.

September 2006 - Andrei Kozlov, First Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Central Bank, who strove to stamp out money laundering the highest-ranking reformer in Russia, is shot and killed in Moscow.

October 2006 - Anna Politkovskaya, author of countless books and articles exposing Russian human rights violations in Chechnya and attacking Vladimir Putin as a dictator, is shot and killed at her home in Moscow.

November 2006 - Alexander Litvinenko, KGB defector and author of the book Blowing up Russia, which accuses the Kremlin of masterminding the and Pechatniki andKashirskoye bombings in order to blame Chechen terrorists and whip up support for an invasion of Chechnya (which shortly followed), is fatally poisoned by radioactive Polonium obtained from Russian sources.

On January 19, 2009, Russian human rights attorney Stanslav Markelov was shot in the back of the head with a silenced pistol as he left a press conference at which he announced his intention to sue the Russian government for its early release of the Col. Yuri Budanov, who murdered his 18-year-old client in Chechnya five years earlier. Also shot and killed was Anastasia Barburova, a young journalism student who was working for Novaya Gazeta and who had studied under Anna Politkovskaya, reporting on the Budanov proceedings.

On July 14, 2009, leading Russian human rights journalist and activist Natalia Estemirova , a single mother of a teenaged daughter, was abducted in front of her home in Grozny, Chechnya, spirited across the border into Ingushetia, shot and dumped in a roadside gutter.
