SANFORD (CBSMiami/AP) The man acquitted in the shooting death of a Florida teen has been arrested again. This time he is charged with aggravated assault, Florida authorities said.
The Seminole County Sheriffs Office says the 31-year-old George Zimmerman was arrested in Lake Mary about 10 p.m. Friday and is being held at the John E. Polk Correctional Facility. The facilitys website says Zimmerman is scheduled for a court appearance at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Zimmerman was part of the Neighborhood Watch.
Martin was unfamilar and acting suspiciously, Zimmerman called the police.
Zimmerman attempted to keep Martin in sight so he could tell the police TM's location.
Zimmerman was told that was not needed and stopped.
Zimmerman lost sight of Martin and made arrangements to meet the police.
Zimmerman did what he had done dozens of times before without any confrontation.
The only difference that night being Martin.
Martin who according to Jeantel had reached the place where his father was staying
but then doubled back to confront, sucker punch and assault GZ.
Please tell me what GZ did to warrant being called an idiot/hothead/thug looking for trouble.
Please tell me what TM did to warrant being called an idiot/hothead/thug looking for trouble.
He's just a jail inmate waiting to happen.
How hard is it to keep your act together and stop doing stupid shit like this?
Anyone who LOOKED at him knew he wasn't someone to rally around. Not the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree, terrible choice in women and the judgement of a two or three year old.
I'm frankly surprised he hasn't landed in jail already. It's just a matter of time.
Maybe so, but after the Treyvon incident, police calls and burglaries in the high crime rate neighborhood sure dropped.
Perhaps it’s better to refresh our memories of pertinent issues in the incident.

#1, Zimmerman had been elected by the residents of the neighborhood to perform duties as neighborhood watch and had been advised to carry the gun by the cops after pit bulls running lose had attacked other neighbors.
“Anyone who LOOKED at him knew he wasn’t someone to rally around.”
What I saw people rallying around for
was the presumption of innocence and the right to self-defense
and against the racist BGI’s attempt to lynch him legally or physically.
The civil society requires that even for its dimmest bulb.
I guess with Twitter’s limitations she couldn’t fit the word ‘alleged’ next to ‘victim’ in her tweet.
Agree, I'm talking about after his acquittal. I should've been more clear about that.
LOL! Too strange, ha? A woman tells an officer about Z throwing a bottle at her during a traffic stop. hmmmmm.....

Deja Vu: George Zimmerman Charged with Aggravated Assault
(excerpt)
Well, look whos back in the news with girlfriend trouble, as reported by the Orlando Sentinel. And, consistent with similar past events, that girlfriend trouble has lead directly to jail, do not pass GO, do not collect $200.
George Zimmermans girlfriend, pulled over yesterday by police for a routine traffic stop, volunteered to them that he had thrown a wine bottle at her the prior Monday while she was visiting Zimmermans Lake Mary residence. Nobody called the police at that time, nor at any time prior to the girlfriend being pulled over by police last night.
Or a POS.
Why isn’t this guy living in the deep woods?
“George Zimmermans girlfriend, pulled over yesterday by police for a routine traffic stop, volunteered to them that he had thrown a wine bottle at her the prior Monday while she was visiting Zimmermans Lake Mary residence. Nobody called the police at that time, nor at any time prior to the girlfriend being pulled over by police last night.”
Looks like another “Let’s pile on George Zimmerman” story.
A girlfriend claims that he threw a wine bottle at her several days ago. And they arrest him for it and confiscate his guns? And they call this due process?
Where is the probable cause?
They may be afraid to do anything but arrest him lest they face the backlash.
Or they could have evidence we haven’t heard or seen.
Certainly is possible.
Or they realize that the powers that be in Miami want to do all they can to him, and they know they will get some kind of atta boy for it.
Go over to TP and you’ll see no end of belching and farting about him getting away with murder and this somehow proving it.
The fact that he may be a despicable person doesn't change the fact that he still acted in self-defense against the thug.
