Children do have guardian angels:
“Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven” Matthew 18:10
This is what ‘daddy’ can look forward too if all things remain the same,
“It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.” Luke 17:2

People use this not realizing that it is a metaphor for the believers who must come “as a little child.” There is no truly innocent child, due to original sin. Assuming that there are, eventually ends up pointing accusing fingers at God for being incompetent, if not cruel.
