THIS APPROACH WORKED AGAINST THE MORMONS AND WOULD WORK AGAINST THE MOSLUMS.........

the Edmunds–Tucker Act of 1887 touched all the issues at dispute between the United States Congress and the LDS Church. The act disincorporated both the church and its Perpetual Emigration Fund on the grounds that they fostered polygamy. The act prohibited the practice of polygamy and punished it with a fine of from $500 to $800 and imprisonment of up to five years. It dissolved the corporation of the church and directed the confiscation by the federal government of all church properties valued over a limit of $50,000.

In July of the same year, the U.S. Attorney General filed suit to seize the church and all of its assets. The act was enforced by the U.S. marshal and a host of deputies. The act:
Dissolved the LDS Church and the Perpetual Emigrating Fund Company, with assets to be used for public schools in the territory.[9]
Required an anti-polygamy oath for prospective voters, jurors and public officials.
Annulled territorial laws allowing illegitimate children to inherit.
Required civil marriage licenses (to aid in the prosecution of polygamy).
Abrogated the common law spousal privilege to require wives to testify against their husbands[10]
Disfranchised women (who had been enfranchised by the territorial legislature in 1870).
Replaced local judges (including the previously powerful Probate Court judges) with federally appointed judges.
Removed local control in school textbook choice.[citation needed]

In 1890, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the seizure of church property under the Edmunds–Tucker Act in Late Corporation of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints v. United States.

The church was losing control of the territorial government, and many members and leaders were being actively pursued as fugitives. Without being able to appear publicly, in the 1880s the leadership was left to navigate “underground”.

Following the Edmunds-Tucker Act, the LDS Church found it difficult to operate as a viable institution.

Do you think our elites won’t punch the door buttons to let the killers in to shoot us? They already have. They already have.

Indeed

They are too completely invested in multiculturalism, social deconstruction and redistribution to doubt the faith now.

Do you think our elites won’t punch the door buttons to let the killers in to shoot us? They already have. They already have.

Yes, and they will lie, cheat, and steal in order to disarm us in the face of those killers, warbling piously that it's for our own good and for that of society. This is more than a simple political difference. If we allow it we'll be the poor sods on bicycles blowing whistles at killers with AK-47s, and the Left will be telling us we deserved the bullets in our heads.

And I sit here with Fox News on low and I’m thinking between all the 24/7 talking heads and talk radio all we do in some weird Orwellian process is TALK stuff to death. It’s the five minutes of hate thing. Terrible slaughters happen by utterly predictable perpetrators but nothing will be done so blab until the next big news item buries it. Good God what a strange world we’ve become. I can barely stand the madness anymore. And Fox has to have the token muzzie on every 15 minutes to tell us all they are a religion of peace...aaagh

ISIS just blew up the police academy in Yemen, killing at least 37 people. They’ve killed more cops in the last 36 hours than cartoonists.

Needs to be repeated, to those who wish to disarm us and tell us to call 911 and the police for help. You are better off owning firearms to protect yourself. The villains do not fear the police.

If (when?) Islamic terrorists try that in many parts of the United States, at least a few decent people will be armed. Not the cartoonists, of course, but a secretary, a maintenance worker, or an accountant will have a CCW permit, and we’ll find out how an AK and body armor do against a handgun and surprise. Five minutes is a long time, and it’s a lot longer if the terrorists do not have the French guarantee that they are safe in a “gun free zone”.

they have no respect for whatever anybody else’s life. That’s not what the Koran says.

Actually, that's exactly what it says - provided you aren't already "of Islam" and won't convert.

Howard Dean is still stupid.
