I stand corrected about Biggio's politics; I just never heard about it before, whereas I had heard many derogatory comments from journalists about Schilling's politics and personality. But you still haven't addressed the fact that Schilling had better stats than Smoltz in all major categories except saves, which usually isn't a consideration for starting pitchers.

Schilling will get into the HoF one day, but for now he is being penalized for being an absolute a hole.

At least that is what people that have played with him or worked in the baseball organizations he was with have said.
