Would it not be a simple software upgrade in one of these digicode security systems to allow a person to type an extra digit that sounds a silent alarm to the upstairs and to police? Door opens just fine, and then all the silent notifications are made.

Suggest we start implementing that here.

Possible, but it can also be spoofed. They just say, “He’s staying with you until the job is done. Anything goes wrong, any silent alarms, you and the kid die.”

What they needed was an actual tough guard at the door without a baby to threaten for gosh-sakes.

Some retired paratrooper type over 50 years old who would have said, “Eff you, Abdul! and gone for the AK-47, starting it right on the street where it ended after all.

THAT is a sensible idea. As such it will be quickly assailed.
