Easy for you to say, if you don’t make a living as an entertainer. I think they will play gigs for just about anyone, as long as the money is green.

That is de rigueur in the nations capitol... most famous couple... Scalia and Ginsburg, who dine together regularly spouses in tow. Politics is a business, that doesn’t need to interfere with socializing. I think we have erred in introducing it into polite society... dinners were more pleasant when no one talked religion or poltics.
I regularly chastise my left wing friends who notoriously drop friendships with people based on politics. If we isolate ourselves completely, we have no hope of having an impact on the other side.
