House majority whip Steve Scalise spoke at a white supremacist event in 2002. That's a fact, Jack!
Only one problem is that it is most definitely not a fact when the real facts are examined. This is something Politico neglected to do when publishing a smear job on Scalise. Whether one politically supports or opposes Scalise, he doesn't deserve being smeared over something that didn't happen. This reportorial crime against basic journalistic ethics was committed by Politico perps John Bresnahan and Jake Sherman. Here are their flat out declarations about something Scalise supposedly did despite facts to the contrary:

Who cares? Scalise is a GOPe RINO.
I don’t care. To hell with Scalise.
Sorry! My comment not directed toward the song, but Scalise!
Well, like it says in the article, no matter what you think of his politics, he doesn’t deserve an UNTRUE smear from Politico.
Saying House majority whip Steve Scalise spoke at a white supremacist event in 2002. That's a fact, Jack! is completely incorrect, and stands to perpetuate the lie, since, let's face it, some people never even get beyond the first paragraph.
Scalise may be a RINO. If so he should be criticized for that. However, it is my understanding that he spoke so some group in a room that was LATER used by that Euro American group. It is further my understanding that the group he spoke to had no racist beliefs whatsoever. If my understanding is correct the media should be confronted loudly, with cyber attacks, riots, etc for their lies.
Is my understanding of the facts correct?
Article not meant to appeal to the BRAIN DEAD.
But where was Rove and the GOPe when Todd Akin was getting smeared? Rove pulled campaign money from Akin and all but told the public he was not supporting him. The GOPe saboutaged Christine O’Donnell because she had the temerity to defeat RINO Mike Castle in the primary! The GOPe is also going all out to saboutage Ted Cruz.
If a Tea Party member had been involved in Scalise’s scandal, you can bet he or she would have been pushed out of Washington by GOP leadership already.
I do not understand why there is so much “conservative” support for Scalise.
I know it. It’s just that that first line kinda bugs me. Negates the whole point you’re trying to make and could just give the low-information geeks more ammo.
Except, both meetings were organized by the same guy, same day, same venue, a guy whose connections were well known by Scalise.
The article missed that detail.
Actually it MOCKS Politico’s false premise which is quickly realized at the second paragraph.
I've got many neighbors that I personally know but whose politics are unknown to me. Even my close personal friends I mostly don't know their politics.
“Even my close personal friends I mostly don’t know their politics. “
Unreal! Must be hard to keep your mouth shut all the time.
Lot’s of folks around me haven’t a clue as to my politics, but I know everyone’s politics.
p.s. Here is a pic of one of the Margaritas:
....no problem, though, with Mr. Obama attending Rev. Wright’s church for 20 years or with Sharpton sitting at meetings in the White House. Hypocrites.
Some one needs to call the police. Scalise is missing. I’m guessing he is
in hiding. Afraid to come out and answer more detailed questions.
Scalise made a public apology a few days ago.
If this story is not true, why did he make an apology for something he did
not do?
What idiot would do that?
