Convention of States bump!
Beginning to think this is the only way left to go, outside of armed rebellion.

Those who voted against Boehner are the only conservatives in Congress. All others have signed on to the Boehner/McConnell Congressional Caucus under the direction of Harry Reid.

Yes! Yes! Yes ad infinitum!
You nailed it.
Today showed more than ever there is no faithful representation in Washington DC.
Congress is for sale to the highest bidder and today showed it has sold itself. Many of those reps voted for one reason only, for position of themselves and not of principle.
Their thinking was in order of priority, what is good for themselves and what is good for ‘important’ constituents. Principle was not even considered.
The surviving true and faithful representation lies with state legislatures and the power they have to unite and assert Article V.

Short vanity, but well thought out and thought provoking.

Convention of states = more laws the judiciary can legislate away, the executive can ignore, and legislative can pork barrel into obscurity.

I suspect both measures will go together. This Washington government will not permit such a Convention or will not permit such a convention’s results to be enacted. The arrival at the point where such a convention is required is also the point where the Constitution itself has been retired, superseded or otherwise nullified and such Convention being a provision of the Constitution will be nullified right along with the parent document.

Yes, and those conservatives are political dead meat. When the lights dim, they will be taken out back to visit the same fate as Michele Bachmann.

The only worthwhile amendments are structural, those that cannot be ignored any easier than even calendar year elections. If the states pass an amendment which returns senatorial elections to the state legislatures, there is nothing that anyone in DC, even Scotus, can do to foil it.

I’ve recently been writing letters to newspaper editors. They pretty much demand <300 words. It focuses the mind.
