I left the party during the Bush years. Now I will actively work against it. It is a bigger part of the problem than the democrats, because they prevent Americans from fighting back against socialism and immorality. They are for what the Democrats do, and in the process, try to bottle up the opposition by normal Americans. They are quislings, Vichy Republicans, in service of a Progressive master.

That’s why the upper limit to the number of rebels was 29, in case everyone showed up. No-shows and “present” voters just made it that much easier.
Someone like Iowa’s Rod Blum may have shown unnoticed bravery. His district isn’t particularly conservative, so he didn’t need to appear to be a rebel, and he’s too new to be in on the big show planning. Kudos to Cong. Blum!
