They are very hypocritical, as they are discounting the Islamic world and Africa, which overwhelmingly oppose it, at least de jure. They would call us doing that being “insensitive to other cultures”. And the Islamic world and the continent of Africa comprise a large portion of the world’s population. I imagine that China doesn’t smile upon it either, I can’t remember about India. Russia is on record in opposition. That pretty much leaves the western world, their usual bete noire.
