Former House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) said Monday that a GOP focus on highly politicized issues like ObamaCare and immigration in 2015 would be a disservice to the American people.
He urged Republicans to act quickly on bipartisan policy initiatives like expanding charter schools, signing new trade deals or creating a permanent research and development tax credit. If they dont, he warned the next race for the White House could be at stake.
He added that the deep divide between Obama and the GOP on issues like healthcare, immigration, climate change and tax reform is well known and unlikely to thaw.
It would be a disservice to the American people if the next two years are spent simply relitigating these differences, Cantor, who is now vice chairman and managing director at the investment bank Moelis and Co., wrote.

>> If we wanted to elect people to work with Obama we would have voted for Democrats.
Excellent! Do you care if I use it as my tagline?
Who’s asking Cantor anything period?
The GOPe still don’t realize that when the torches and pitchforks come for the democrats, the roundup will include them as well. No better than democrats and in fact much worse.
A renowned prostitute in the service of Aetna, Cigna, et al. He was once highly paid cunning linquist skills, but now performs tricks at 5 dollars a pop in service to the almighty COC.
Is he now a Hillary campaign advisor?
The voters told you to go away, Cantor. Now we know why.
Go away Cantor you gay douchbag.
If the GOP wants to WIN it will do the EXACT OPPOSITE of what this Cantor idiot recommends.
What a dweeb. Of course the media will now live him for saying that. Is this fool a lobbyist now?
Am so tied of the call to make bi-partison agreements and concessions no matter who is spewing it.
For once just take a stand and stick to it! It’s not that complicated!
Note to Cantor: If we thought what you had to say was worth anything you would have been re elected.
Now get back to your expertise: Being a Whore.
If the GOP wants to WIN it will do the EXACT OPPOSITE of what this Cantor idiot recommends.
...
The GOP doesn’t want to win as much as it wants Big Government. Loser Cantor’s bad advice is more evidence of that.
FedGov has no more chances. If a republican House and Senate can’t regain lost ground on Obamacare, Amnesty, climate change, and excessive taxes, there is no point in participating in the system. It’s time to either win or drop out of this corrupt game. Do the RINOs want to listen to Cantor and bet their careers on our tolerance for Big Government’s continued growth?
Who is John Galt?
I guess you’re right, Eric, we should just give up now and make this a communist country.
Hey LOSER LIB....GO AWAY and WHINE to someone who cares what you say.
Who really cares what he says?
Hey Cantor you lost the election because of why?
Answer- You did not do what needed to be done and you promoted Obama’s agenda items.
Thank you, Eric Cantor, for reminding us why we voted you out.
Now go away.
Forever.
Although, I do thank you for speaking like this the day before the Speaker of the House vote. You may just tip a few more members to vote against the Crying Cheeto.
